3 Things Personal Style Coaching Does Differently

I am asked all the time how personal style coaching is different from hiring a personal stylist. I am here to help you change your life. Working with me transforms your relationship with yourself, your clothes, and your life. Here are 3 reasons why you need personal style coaching:


1. Seeing how your beliefs effect you


It can be hard to tell the difference between the truth and a belief with our clothes when they are beliefs that we have been holding for a very long time, or even when they are just strong beliefs.


Things as simple as I'm just not a stylish person, nothing works for me, and this shouldn't be so hard can easily just seem like the truth and like they are doing no harm. When they are leading to you feeling frustrated, defeated, and like you are settling.


Even something as sneaky as "I don't know what to do" can steal all of your power and ability to create a wardrobe you love. You'd be surprised how many people come to me saying they don't know what to do, yet they've never tried to answer their own question about what they do want to do.


When you work with me I help you see and show you all of the things that you believe that are holding you back from getting what you want that you don't have to actually believe.


I also show you exactly how that belief is playing out in your life and personal style and how it stops you from getting what you want.


The best news is that because it's a belief I can help you navigate believing differently so that you can change your style and your life and create both as you want them to be.


I show you that your beliefs make you feel a certain way, and those feelings drive the actions that you take, which is how you are exactly where you are right now.


So if you are feeling defeated, I am going to show you the EXACT cause of why you feel that way and how that thing is leading you to avoid your closet, hate your clothes, and not allow yourself to actually create your own personal style.


Don't worry, there is no pushing you into positivity or trying to make you have a positive mindset only. That doesn't help you. It can feel really difficult to go from the beliefs that hold you back to feeling amazing about yourself and your clothes, so my job is simply to show you all the ways what your believing isn't true and that you're allowed to think about clothes, yourself, and personal style any way you want to. The key is that you get to decide, you don't have to let unintentional beliefs run your life anymore.


2. Feeling your feelings


The next thing, that had some of the most profound impact on me and other women I have coached is teaching you how to actually feel your feelings, positive and negative.


The moment I let myself actually experience the feeling of anxiety changed my life.

The moment I let myself actually experience the feeling of joy also changed my life.


Unlocking your feelings changes your life.


Being able to access, identify, and know that you are going to be okay when you are feeling your feelings is probably worth more than anything I have ever paid for in my entire life, and is something I want to help other women know how to feel safe to do too.


This isn't a vague process where I tell you to just drop into your body either. When you coach with me I teach how to access the feelings that are coming up for you and provide a safe space for you to experience them without having to fix, change, or avoid them. You get to just experience what feeling a feeling is actually like, for you, in your body.


I show you how the difference between feeling, allowing, thinking about, acting on, or resisting emotions so that you don't have to feel like experiencing your emotions means you're out of control or that something bad has happened.


One of the best benefits of this is that once you start identifying emotions you will start to notice them in different areas of your life and instead of being scared of them or avoiding them, you'll be able to intentionally act on them.


I could go on and on and on about the benefits of feeling your feelings, but all you need to know is that emotions don't have to get in the way of or ruin anything, they also don't mean anything has gone wrong. Having emotions is part of being human, and unlocking what they feel like to you in your body completely changes how you approach and create your life.
